The highest priority for the Foundation is to support WAYS in the building of better futures for WAYS clients. Our goal is to assist and support the organization in its efforts to meet the present and future needs of children, youth and families connected to our programs and services.
The Foundation also provides ongoing financial support for WAYS programs and activities by organizing and managing fundraising activities. The Foundation is also developing fundraising principles and practice guidelines that will ensure that the wishes of our donors are considered and respected.
WAYS has an excellent reputation in its communities and is dedicated to improving the lives of young people in our community. They want to put these young people back on a course that will lead them to be successful and independent and making a contribution to their community.
The goal is to support, advocate, counsel and teach their clients as they set individual goals and work towards living a healthy and responsible life with a promising future.
Through the generosity of individuals, churches, service clubs, corporations, employee giving programs and other Foundations, the WAYS Foundation has been able to support the building of better futures for WAYS clients.
Two key fundraising events have taken place for the last number of years. The 11th Annual WAYS Golf Tournament raised over $22,000 and the Annual Fashion Show raised over $20,000 in support of WAYS programs. Both events have continued to grow each year with the result that larger venues have to be found to accommodate the number of people wanting to attend. This is a testament to the commitment of the community to the need for services for children and youth.
