Karen had always wanted to work with children, once her youngest child started school.  She wanted to do something meaningful and still be at home and available for her family.  Karen has been fostering with WAYS since 2002 and has cared for over 30 children in her home.  Some have stayed with her for a few weeks, others for several years.  What she has found most rewarding is watching the children thrive and giving them a solid start to a new beginning.
