Our goal is simple: To ensure that youth or families in crisis get access to the help they need as quickly as possible.

Telephone support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week:

  • In London & Middlesex call 519-433-0334
  • In Chatham-Kent call 519-354-4095

Phone Support

We receive calls from children, youth up to 18 years of age, parents, guardians and community partners.

People who access the service may be experiencing significant problems at home, school or in the community due to trauma, emotional, behavioral or mental health issues.

Phone support focuses on immediate response and stabilization to decrease the severity of the crisis to children and their families.

Here’s what you can expect when you call:

  • A trained person will talk with you about your situation and offer some initial counselling.
  • If appropriate, the counsellor will also arrange for a prompt follow-up face-to-face meeting.
  • The counsellor will connect you with the right services and agencies for your specific situation.
  • The counsellor will also ensure that you have access to relevant supports while waiting for these longer-term services.

Face-to-Face Meetings

Face-to-face meetings are available each business day for those who have immediate needs.

In London-Middlesex, these meetings happen at Madame Vanier Children's Services, 871 Trafalgar Street in London.

In Chatham-Kent, we either meet at our offices (on Richmond Street) or we can come to where you are (e.g. home, school, hospital).

Many Services, One Point-of-Contact

In London, the crisis support service is front-ended by the Crisis Intake Team (C-IT), which provides integrated intake for all non-residential children’s and youth programs at WAYS, Madame Vanier Children's Services and Craigwood Youth Services.
